Redeployment questions

Posted by dizemama on 2006.11.13 at 21:21
For anyone that has gone thru a deployment:

What are some creative homecoming ideas?
On a scale of 1-10, how hard was the readjustment period?
How did the kids do?

Honestly the readjustment was hard, I won't lie...and it took time. I say an 8.
We didn't have kids.
For his homecoming I had to pick him up in another city so my friend went to our apt b4 we got there and lit candles and ran a bath and got our dinner ready things like that. I will try to think of things for you that involve the kids.

The first deployment the readjustment wasn't so bad which is surprising considering what he did in iraq but the last one..it's been a year and we are still trying to readjust...atleast he is.

no kids unfortuantly.

I didnt get to go to the last homecoming but the first one..I made him a banner and brought cookies (forgot them at home haha). I did attempt to make a banner with a white sheet but that didn't pan out too well.
